Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a high-impact digital payments modernization program, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will contribute to integrating a major card network into a large financial institution, focusing on both legacy and modern infrastructure while developing backend services and driving application modernization efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and harden services using Spring Boot, JPA, and PostgreSQL, while designing integration workflows and event-driven architectures
• Build and maintain full-stack backend services and contribute to micro-frontend applications, ensuring robust identity architecture and authorization controls
• Lead performance testing strategies and drive test-driven development practices across the engineering team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in Java
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and experience with containerized environments like OpenShift
• Experience with Spring Boot/JPA, business rules engines, and integration frameworks
• Practical experience in domain-driven design and cloud IAM architecture
• Background in digital payments or financial services technology preferred
