Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the deployment of AI in clinical workflows, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design and build governance infrastructure, including automated risk intake and monitoring systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement governance controls within the AI platform, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
• Build automated risk intake pipelines and monitoring systems for AI use cases, including risk scoring and incident response tooling
• Facilitate risk assessment processes and maintain the AI risk register, ensuring all new use cases are evaluated against established criteria

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AI/ML systems or AI governance engineering
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems and understanding LLM risks in production
• Proficiency in Python and experience with API-level integrations and data pipelines
• Experience in a regulated environment with HIPAA compliance obligations and handling of PHI/PII data
• Working knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework or ISO 42001, with practical application in building required controls
