Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer focused on Payments & Treasury, who will design and implement scalable systems for a modern global payments platform, while working remotely and contributing to the growth of Alpaca's financial infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a modern global payments and treasury platform using event-driven systems
- Design and implement solutions to achieve defined goals, actively participating in goal-setting
- Ensure system integrity and operational scalability while adopting resilient engineering practices
Required qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience working on systems at scale
- Proven experience in building and maintaining microservices and client-facing APIs
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Go, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, and containerization technologies
- Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and distributed systems design
