Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support platform modernization efforts, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will architect and deliver Java-based microservices, drive legacy system refactoring, and lead cloud migration initiatives in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the architecture, design, and implementation of Java and Spring Boot microservices
- Lead the decomposition of legacy PHP/Symfony functionality into independently deployable Java services
- Establish engineering standards for CI/CD pipelines, observability, and logging
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience in distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, SQS, and Lambda
- Strong command of REST API design and enterprise integration patterns
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
