Job Summary
Seeking a full-time contract Senior Software Engineer, the successful candidate will focus on developing web-first product experiences, APIs, and platform integrations that enhance user engagement and retention, while working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams during designated hours.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver medium complexity initiatives from technical discovery through to delivery, managing scope and identifying risks
- Create accessible and scalable mobile Wikipedia product experiences across web and app surfaces
- Develop RESTful APIs to support scalable data pipelines for mobile and web client experiences
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5-10+ years of experience in building production web applications and services
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, frameworks like Vue.js, and backend languages such as PHP
- Experience in designing and integrating server-side APIs and building responsive or mobile-first web experiences
- Proven ability to deliver in a self-driven, lean environment
