Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to work remotely on the Connectivity & API Transformation team, responsible for building and evolving Pantheon's unified API, shaping service connectivity, and decomposing legacy systems into modern services.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and evolve the federated GraphQL API and Go subgraphs for the Dashboard and public API
- Design service discovery strategies and network architecture to enhance connectivity standards
- Decompose legacy systems into well-bounded services while managing the Cassandra data layer
Required qualifications:
- Significant experience in building and operating production services in Go
- Proven ability to design APIs with a focus on schema design, versioning, and backward compatibility
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and designing robust services
- Familiarity with cloud networking fundamentals and Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of observability tools like Grafana Cloud and Prometheus
