Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the reliability and efficiency of telemetry systems, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and operate high-scale pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-scale pipelines for logs, metrics, traces, and exceptions, focusing on capacity, reliability, and performance
• Lead efforts to identify and resolve scaling bottlenecks, improving telemetry collection and processing
• Write and maintain production software primarily in Go and Ruby, while integrating observability tools

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline, with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as Go, Ruby, or comparable languages
• 3+ years of experience building and operating production services in a cloud or large-scale distributed environment
• 2+ years of experience deploying and configuring production workloads with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration
• 2+ years of experience developing production software in Go, Ruby, or a comparable general-purpose language
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
