Job Summary
Working remotely in Canada, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will design and implement high-quality solutions for Honeycomb's data storage infrastructure, ensuring performance and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Build and deliver solutions that enhance query performance and data storage reliability
- Scope and manage projects independently, taking ownership from design to production support
- Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to align technical solutions with product needs
Required qualifications
- Proven technical leadership in storage and querying, with expertise in Go and experience in high-throughput systems
- Strong background in database engineering and familiarity with Kubernetes
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across the stack
- Ability to scope and deliver complex, multi-team projects while balancing production realities
