Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will analyze anti-bot systems, design repeatable processes to bypass them, and build a greenfield environment to test and understand detection mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze how anti-bot systems detect and block web scraping efforts, designing solutions to circumvent these barriers
• Transform isolated breakthroughs into systematic processes through hypothesis testing and iteration
• Collaborate with senior team members to create a robust environment for testing anti-bot behaviors and bypass methods

Required qualifications

• Deep understanding of internet protocols and behaviors, including HTTP, TLS, fingerprinting, and proxies
• Strong problem-solving skills with a scientific, methodical approach to testing and iteration
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, with experience in backend systems like Postgres and Kubernetes
• Experience directing AI coding agents effectively, with the ability to discern quality output
• Background in scraping, anti-bot work, web security, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on scientific methodology
