Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Operator Tools team, the successful candidate will design and build desktop applications and interfaces for mission planning, real-time telemetry, and diagnostics, collaborating closely with engineers across various disciplines in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop desktop applications for mission planning, telemetry displays, and vehicle diagnostics using frameworks like Qt or Electron
• Implement visualization and data presentation for complex data from autonomous systems, ensuring usability under operational conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate desktop tools with embedded systems and cloud-based data analysis tools

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, particularly in desktop application and web-based tool development
• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python, with experience in structuring non-trivial desktop applications
• Demonstrated ability to build user interfaces that function effectively in real-world operational settings
• Experience integrating applications with real hardware or real-time data sources
• High standards for software architecture, API design, and internal tooling quality
