Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Software Engineer will design and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features while collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions for high-volume transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features
- Develop and integrate APIs and microservices, contributing to distributed software architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and development plans
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on scalable web applications and distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with hands-on experience in developing microservices and APIs
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS
- Familiarity with automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively across product and engineering teams
