Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely or in a hybrid capacity, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and build server-side services for the Optimizer Hub, focusing on high-performance Java services and collaborating with product managers and performance engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java services, including protocols, APIs, and real-time optimization engines
- Build and evolve server-side components that communicate with the JVM across cloud and on-premises environments
- Debug complex distributed systems issues and implement observability and profiling tools for internal and customer-facing deployments
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of strong professional Java development experience, particularly in backend and server-side systems
- Deep understanding of JVM internals, including memory management and garbage collection
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservices in production
- Proficiency with concurrency, low-latency design, and performance optimization techniques in Java
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
