Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support Alpaca's rapid growth, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable brokerage systems while leading regional recruitment initiatives and mentoring engineering talent.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop mission-critical brokerage systems, including gRPC microservices and a React-based UI
- Collaborate with global teams to enhance core frameworks and troubleshoot incidents to ensure system integrity
- Act as operational reliability lead and incident commander during regional business hours, ensuring proactive system stability
Required qualifications:
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages with experience in system architecture design
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proven software engineering experience
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team
- Experience with event-driven design and troubleshooting incidents effectively
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams and stakeholders
