Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a fully remote Senior Software Engineer, the candidate will design and scale backend systems for data infrastructure, focusing on PostgreSQL data models, Kafka-driven event pipelines, and a GraphQL API to support clinical studies and digital health products.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into new integrations and services for the data platform
- Implement features with a focus on data integrity, design soundness, and maintainability throughout the system's lifecycle
- Draft RFCs to guide complex feature discovery and technical design phases, aligning team decisions for development
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years focused on data platforms and backend infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in SQL and production experience with PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with data streaming and event processing, using Kafka or equivalent technologies
- Experience deploying services in containerized environments, with familiarity in Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools
- Proficiency in GraphQL and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js)
