Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a technical leader in data pipeline automation, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will develop, optimize, and automate data solutions while mentoring other engineers and collaborating with senior management in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable data solutions with a focus on automation using Airflow and Google Cloud data products
- Managing a portfolio of dbt models and advocating for test-driven development to enhance continuous integration and delivery processes
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines while addressing issues and implementing innovative solutions
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development with extensive knowledge of Python, SQL, and data pipelines
- Expertise in building and automating ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and managing dbt models
- Deep experience with databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery, including query optimization
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Strong command of agile methodologies and experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
