Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the expansion of insurance products, the remote Senior Software Engineer will build and own backend services and APIs for policy management, translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities, and implement experimentation metrics to enhance product offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed backend services in a service-oriented architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize high-impact work and improve system reliability
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in code quality and operational excellence
Required qualifications
- 5-9+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in backend platform development
- Proficiency in backend development using Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar languages
- Experience architecting high-scale services and APIs, with knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with A/B testing or experimentation systems, leveraging data for product decisions
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
