Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of real-time AI-powered fraud and identity systems, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and build scalable backend services and APIs while working remotely from California, Colorado, Texas, or Virginia.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for processing identity and fraud signals in real time
- Integrate machine learning models into decision-making APIs and support inference pipelines for fraud risk models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability, performance, and observability
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong Java development skills
- Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems using frameworks like Play and Akka
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and databases such as MongoDB or SQL
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models into production systems and understanding of fraud analytics concepts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
