Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning backend projects for blockchain data systems, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will build and operate ingestion, indexing, and API-serving systems while collaborating with product teams to enhance data reliability and performance in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and operate blockchain ingestion, indexing, storage, and API-serving systems
- Improve query performance and data freshness, making these properties observable to the team and understandable to customers
- Participate in production support and incident response, maintaining monitoring and runbooks for systems owned
Required qualifications
- Track record of independently designing, shipping, and operating production backend or distributed data systems
- Strong programming skills in a production backend language with experience in databases, indexing, and query performance
- Experience with consistency, partitioning, asynchronous processing, and failure recovery
- Sound API design judgment, including compatibility, pagination, error handling, and data contracts
- Ability to diagnose production problems and implement improvements beyond immediate fixes
