Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced software engineers will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer focused on transforming the underwriting and loan workflow processes in the lending product space, while ensuring a seamless borrower experience and automating disbursement operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement the new underwriting design in collaboration with data scientists, ensuring reliable decisioning services
- Automate the loan workflow from application to repayment, eliminating manual steps and ensuring an auditable process
- Analyze and resolve disbursement failures, improving the triage process and enhancing the overall disbursement SLA rate
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling production applications across backend (Python, Postgres, AWS) and frontend (React, React Native, TypeScript)
- Proven experience owning or building lending, credit, or payments workflows in production
- Strong understanding of money movement on real payment rails (ACH, RTP, wires) and related operational nuances
- Expertise in workflow and state-machine design, with a focus on operational debugging and process optimization
- Experience implementing credit decisioning or underwriting logic in collaboration with data scientists
