Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Access & Authorization team, the candidate will design and implement secure authentication and authorization systems, building distributed services in a remote-first environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the design, implementation, and operation of authentication, OAuth, sessions, tokens, and edge authorization capabilities
- Build secure, low-latency Go and gRPC services with strong observability and measurable SLOs across various platforms
- Lead technical designs for complex initiatives and mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Go or a comparable systems-oriented language
- Demonstrated experience designing secure APIs and managing authentication and authorization protocols
- Proficiency with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and data stores like Redis or DynamoDB
- Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects from design through production rollout
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and quality
