Job Summary
Focused on Ruby on Rails, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and deliver scalable applications for government partners, modernizing legacy systems to enhance user experiences and access to services.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and government partners to architect and deploy new systems and improvements
- Work in an agile environment to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and maintain production systems through an on-call rotation
Required qualifications
- At least 12 years of full-stack engineering experience in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and Typescript
- Experience with large-scale web-based systems, both front-end and back-end
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and architecture
- Experience with automated testing and code quality tools
