Job Summary
To enhance Firefox's security features, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and test security enhancements while collaborating across teams to address security issues and improve browser performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement security and hardening features for enterprise users
- Advance Firefox's security architecture by improving core security mechanisms
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting browser reliability, performance, and memory usage
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of systems programming experience with strong proficiency in C and/or C++
- Experience diagnosing and resolving issues in multithreaded, cross-platform native applications
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and interest in Rust
- Experience working with distributed teams and effectively communicating technical ideas
