Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Senior Software Engineer on the Vulnerability Management Engineering team, the successful candidate will design and develop systems to identify and manage vulnerabilities across GitHub's services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance software supply chain security.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship scalable technical solutions across multiple GitHub services
- Build a platform for collecting and tracking security findings, ensuring effective remediation
- Implement software supply chain controls and maintain compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven production software delivery in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with cloud environments and/or Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) concepts preferred
- Proficiency in general-purpose and scripting languages, such as Go or Python
