Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support data-driven personalization efforts, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and evolve high-scale backend systems for the Shopper Data Platform, focusing on user data ingestion, processing, and serving in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high-scale backend systems for data ingestion, processing, and storage
• Own complex engineering projects from design through production, translating requirements into scalable solutions
• Improve APIs, streaming pipelines, and platform capabilities to enhance data quality and performance

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with backend or distributed systems
• Strong experience with data ingestion, processing, and streaming architectures for high-volume data
• Proficiency in Java or similar backend languages, with a solid understanding of distributed systems
• Proven track record of managing complex technical projects from design to production
• Experience collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers on technical decisions and best practices
