Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To shape the technical direction of a fast-moving product, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and evolve the architecture of conversational AI and voice-ordering systems, lead complex technical initiatives, and mentor new hires while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and evolve core architecture for conversational AI and voice-ordering systems, focusing on reliability and correctness in real-time environments
- Lead cross-cutting technical initiatives, including POS and hardware integrations, while collaborating with product and operations teams
- Improve testing, evaluation, and monitoring processes for AI agent quality and debug complex production issues
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of owning significant systems end-to-end
- Deep experience with backend systems in Python or strong backend fundamentals with a willingness to learn Python
- Experience designing for reliability and correctness in real-time or latency-sensitive systems
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and drive loosely defined problems to well-architected solutions
- Strong judgment on scaling decisions and effective communication skills to convey reasoning to others
