Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing global payments infrastructure, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and scale Java backend services, leading end-to-end delivery and contributing to technical strategy in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of backend services, distributed systems, and APIs
• Own features end-to-end, including architecture, coding, testing, observability, and deployment
• Mentor associate and mid-level engineers while identifying and delivering technical improvements

Required qualifications

• Significant commercial experience with modern Java (5+ years) and proven experience in designing and maintaining distributed systems
• Strong system design experience for scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed applications
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Experience in fintech, payments, or other high-throughput/regulated domains
• Desire to learn, grow, and collaborate within a diverse team
