Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning and improving billing data pipelines, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and build scalable backend services in Python while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance billing systems in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and enhance billing data pipelines for usage ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation
- Design and implement reliable backend services with a focus on correctness and data integrity
- Lead projects from design to delivery and mentor junior engineers through feedback and collaboration
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with strong skills in Python and PostgreSQL
- Experience in building and operating data pipelines or event-driven systems in production
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and make informed technical trade-offs
- Experience with SaaS billing, metering, or financial systems is a plus
