Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the customer-facing layer of billing systems, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will take ownership of key APIs and console features, solve complex problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and improve public and internal billing APIs, focusing on reliability and developer experience
- Design and build full-stack features in Elastic Cloud consoles, from backend services to user interfaces
- Lead small to medium projects end-to-end, contributing to API design decisions and improving service observability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in backend or full-stack engineering with experience in building and maintaining APIs
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with customer-facing or developer-facing products at scale
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React for dashboards or console products is a plus
- Eligible to work in Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 or above cloud service environments
