Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of analytic applications and business intelligence solutions, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, code, and maintain scalable Big Data and Cloud solutions while working remotely from anywhere within the U.S.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality Big Data and Cloud solutions
- Develop and implement analytics rules engines and define APIs for data integration
- Research and deploy new tools and frameworks to enhance the Big Data platform
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in Information Technology (IT)
- 5+ years of experience developing software applications using Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
- 3+ years of experience with public cloud providers such as Azure or AWS
- 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining web APIs or RESTful services
- 2+ years of experience with distributed systems technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
