Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the mission of enhancing educational access, the remote Senior Software Engineer will apply advanced expertise in software delivery, utilizing AI coding tools to develop and modernize systems while ensuring quality and security through testing and review of AI-generated work.
Key responsibilities
- Solve complex technical problems and contribute to modernization initiatives using AI-assisted approaches
- Pilot and champion new AI development tools and techniques, evaluating their effectiveness in real delivery work
- Direct AI coding tools to implement features, ensuring end-to-end delivery and maintaining high standards of code quality
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented and/or functional programming, API design, and data modeling
- Experience with a backend language (e.g., Node.js, Java) and a modern frontend framework (e.g., React)
- Demonstrated hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools in production environments
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
