Building and operating the webhooks platform for third-party integrations, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and support improvements to webhook services and APIs while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship improvements to GitHub's webhook services and APIs
- Build and maintain event-driven systems that handle high volumes of traffic reliably
- Debug problems across service boundaries and improve tooling and observability
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python
- 2+ years of experience maintaining highly available, high-volume platforms
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining event-driven systems
