Job Summary
To build the developer platform utilized by agents and partners, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design and develop APIs, evolve MCP servers and tools, and mentor fellow engineers while ensuring production reliability and quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and build Alpaca's agent-facing developer platform, including MCP servers and APIs
- Evolve the platform in accordance with changing MCP protocol and standards
- Mentor engineers and enhance the quality of design and implementation
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of production systems
- Experience shipping a developer-facing API, SDK, or platform as a primary contributor
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with a willingness to work primarily in Go
- Strong architectural judgment and experience with API design
- Clear communication skills with cross-functional teams including product and compliance
