Job Summary
To enhance the security and quality of software, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and scale GitHub's Code Scanning feature while working remotely within a collaborative, agile engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship high-quality technical solutions that scale across multiple GitHub services
- Build and integrate AI agents and features to enhance code analysis capabilities for developers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering team growth through code reviews and collaboration
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven software delivery skills in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience maintaining and delivering production software in a scalable environment
- Proficiency in developing and integrating APIs, including GraphQL and REST endpoints
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools
