Job Summary
Leading the ScreamingFace squad, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will architect and deliver open-source infrastructure for federated AI, focusing on building a toolkit for benchmarking fusion models while working remotely and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture of the ScreamingFace squad, ensuring reliable capabilities and user experience through design, engineering, and deployment
- Drive production readiness by implementing monitoring, error handling, and operational runbooks
- Establish and mentor the team in engineering best practices, ensuring high-quality software delivery and robust processes
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in building and operating production systems
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and managing agentic workflows
- Strong proficiency in Python (3.12+) and experience with FastAPI services and async orchestration
- Experience in distributed systems and API design, including interface evolution for multiple teams
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and introducing quality practices
