Job Summary
To enhance the Developer Enablement team, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will focus on improving Fleetio's public API, webhooks, and Developer Portal while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to plan, design, and implement improvements to the API and Developer Portal
- Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code while reviewing peers' code for quality and consistency
- Set and uphold API standards, improve developer experience through documentation and tooling, and participate in on-call rotations for reliability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years of experience with ReactJS and Typescript
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining public REST APIs
- Familiarity with webhooks, event-driven systems, or third-party integrations
- Strong attention to detail in API design and documentation
