Leading end-to-end projects, the remote Senior Software Engineer will enhance the Segmentation & Insights Platform by building high-scale backend systems that optimize marketing engagement for guests and hosts while managing the full development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Scale and optimize core platform systems to ensure high availability and low latency
- Build features for Airbnb's autonomous Marketing Growth Engine, focusing on campaign ideation and refinement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate marketing goals into platform capabilities and assist with onboarding processes
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise in backend systems with large-scale service-oriented architecture
- Experience in building agentic systems or LLM-powered applications
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Kotlin
