Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

To develop and maintain complex software systems, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will perform software analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging while collaborating with stakeholders to define system objectives and establish project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical design, coding, and testing of applications while serving as a subject matter expert for software systems
• Develop software solutions for enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements
• Provide technical support for critical issues and mentor junior software engineers in best practices and emerging technologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5 years of experience in software development, including architecture/design and user requirements definition
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C, or Python
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, MongoDB)
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
