Job Summary
Owning the customer journey from lead to activation, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will design and build backend services for identity verification and compliance automation, working remotely from the East Coast.
Key responsibilities
- Own the customer journey across the Paxos Dashboard and Identity APIs, from onboarding to activation
- Design, build, and operate backend services for KYC/KYB, identity verification, and screening
- Use AI to automate compliance tasks and improve the onboarding funnel efficiency
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building production backend systems, with at least 1 year in a senior role
- Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python, with a strong preference for Go
- Experience designing APIs and data models for sensitive or regulated data
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements from non-engineering stakeholders into clear technical plans
- Familiarity with identity, KYC/AML systems, and using AI tools in development processes
