Job Summary
Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will develop and maintain Java and Scala-based Spark components while ensuring system compliance and facilitating security reviews in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain systems, libraries, and components using Java, Scala, and Spark
- Fulfill enhancement requests from the product team and resolve functional or performance deficiencies
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and actively participate in peer code reviews
Required qualifications:
- College degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent work experience
- Experience building reusable libraries and proven Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Experience developing in leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Build/DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Jira, Terraform)
- Experience developing Java/Scala-based Spark internal components
