Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer specializing in databases, this remote position will design and implement features for InfluxDB 3, debug production issues, and collaborate with the platform team to enhance operational aspects.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for InfluxDB 3, focusing on Import/Export, Data Transformation Pipelines, and WebUI integration
- Debug and resolve issues related to performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other production challenges
- Collaborate with the platform team to improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for InfluxDB 3
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software experience
- Deep knowledge of at least one systems programming language such as Rust, C++, or Go (Rust preferred)
- Experience in building high-throughput, low-latency systems within distributed environments
- Familiarity with high-availability and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in collaborating with product managers and support teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements
