Job Summary
As the Senior Software Engineer on the Virtual Care Platform, this full-time remote position will manage production health and patient experience by swiftly resolving critical issues and enhancing tools and automation within a large Python/Django codebase.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first line of engineering response for production and support issues, triaging and shielding the core product team from interruptions
- Diagnose and fix bugs across a mature Django codebase, making safe live production data edits to resolve urgent issues
- Own and improve the admin portal and internal tooling, enabling Support and Clinical Operations to manage workflows independently
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on production systems
- Deep expertise in Python and Django, with experience navigating a large codebase and REST APIs
- Proven debugging and production troubleshooting skills, especially in high-stakes environments
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL) and optimizing queries
- Proficiency in using AI development tools to enhance coding and incident response processes
