Senior Software Engineer - AI
Job Summary
To support NFPA's growing business needs and digital transformation, the fully remote Senior Software Engineer - AI will develop, maintain, and enhance AI systems and applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and improve AI systems and web-based business applications
- Develop and support generative AI solutions, including RAG systems and large-scale document ingestion and retrieval
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications while applying application architecture knowledge for technical decision-making
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of seven years of experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including C#, .NET Core, Web API, SQL Server, and Azure cloud infrastructure
- At least three years of experience with generative AI technologies, including RAG, tool calling, and vector databases
