Senior Software Engineer, AI Evaluation
Job Summary
Evaluating AI-generated coding interactions, the contract Senior Software Engineer, AI Training will work remotely to assess the quality of outputs from modern coding agents, providing opinionated feedback on their engineering judgment and reasoning.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end, judging the usefulness and correctness of outputs
- Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, distinguishing between different levels of response quality
- Provide clear, opinionated written feedback on what worked, what didn't, and areas for improvement
Required qualifications
- Senior, Staff, or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
- Hands-on experience with at least one of OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor
- Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows
- Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above) for detailed feedback and video explanations
