Senior Software Engineer - Go
Job Summary
Leading a small engineering team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer - Go will enhance, modernize, and sustain mission-critical applications for a Department of War customer, focusing on technical design, code reviews, and reliable software delivery in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver new capabilities to production Go and React/TypeScript applications, overseeing the development process from design to deployment
- Own technical design and code review standards, ensuring release readiness for the team's development backlog
- Collaborate with Government product owners to shape requirements and deliver enhancements aligned with mission needs
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in production services using Go (Golang)
- Strong experience with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, and REST API design
- Demonstrated experience leading an engineering team through technical design and software releases in an Agile environment
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Department of War security clearance
- Active Secret security clearance is strongly preferred
