Senior Software Engineer II
Job Summary
Collaborating in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will build scalable backend services, contribute to core infrastructure, and enhance database reliability while engaging in mob programming and mentoring fellow engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build next-generation backend services, addressing complex distributed systems challenges
- Maintain and scale core infrastructure to ensure reliability, stability, and performance
- Contribute to managing and upgrading large-scale database infrastructure and automate operations using various technologies
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Java, Kotlin, or Python)
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience in building highly scalable applications and supporting REST APIs
- Genuine interest in team-centric engineering practices and comfort working in a mob programming environment
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
