Job Summary
To support an active technology program, three Senior Software Engineers - Virginia will work remotely on a contract-to-hire basis, focusing on designing, developing, and enhancing scalable software solutions in AI and distributed systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-ready software using Java
- Build and enhance distributed systems across storage, caching, and application layers
- Mentor peers and junior developers while advocating for sound engineering practices
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
- At least four years of hands-on AI software development experience
- Strong Java development skills and experience with distributed systems and multi-tier architectures
- Knowledge of cloud engineering, asynchronous systems, and service integration patterns
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
