Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading the Experiences team remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will oversee a group of engineers focused on enhancing member satisfaction through feature improvements and product delivery, while ensuring technical quality and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of six engineers, setting direction, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and feedback
• Own the delivery of the member experience roadmap in collaboration with Product, Design, Data Science, and Content teams
• Drive technical quality in the codebase, balancing the need for speed with maintaining reliability and performance

Required qualifications

• Several years of direct management experience with software engineers, including hiring and performance management
• Experience shipping consumer-facing product experiences on mobile, embedded devices, or web
• Strong engineering background with the ability to read and reason about code and architecture
• Clear communication skills with cross-functional teams and executives
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and their effective application
