Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading multiple product engineering squads, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will oversee the development and operation of a cloud-native learning platform, ensuring team performance, delivery predictability, and technical excellence while actively participating in coding and design reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the performance, health, and output of two or more product engineering squads
• Drive the adoption of engineering standards and operational excellence across teams, including deployment practices and incident management
• Foster cross-functional partnerships with Product Management, Design, and Customer Success to align engineering efforts with business goals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Ten years of professional software engineering experience with production web applications and distributed services
• Three years of direct management experience with software engineers, including hiring and performance management
• Hands-on experience with C# and .NET, capable of contributing production code and reviewing designs
• Experience leading teams in building distributed, event-driven systems and familiarity with Azure services
