Senior Software Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Software Security Engineer, the successful candidate will build and enhance security practices, focusing on secure design, identity and secrets management, and cloud security, while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engineering to identify and mitigate system risks before deployment, creating secure frameworks and libraries
• Build and maintain identity and secrets management systems, including credential issuance and workload authentication
• Contribute to cloud security posture management through infrastructure-as-code scanning and automated remediation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with security-relevant systems in production
• Proven experience leading security initiatives from design to adoption
• Hands-on experience with identity and secrets management protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
• Familiarity with Kubernetes security primitives, such as RBAC and network policies
• Ability to reason about trust boundaries and threat models to prioritize risk effectively
