Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring software quality and compliance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures for software and IT systems
- Perform and lead testing activities, documenting results and resolving complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to organizational standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with both manual and automated testing, including familiarity with test automation frameworks
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
